All about Destination Imagination Destination Imagination is a thrill for your mind. It consists of teamwork, strategy, and imagination. You work with your team of up to seven kids to present your solution to one of five central challenges. Your team will also have to solve an instant challenge which is a miniature challenge where you can only use the materials given to you to solve the problem within a very limited time period.
The kids do it all. All the team manager(s) can do is present the instant challenges, watch you practice, be at the meetings, but they can NOT under any circumstances help you with your challenge your friends and family can not give any suggestions either. It's all the kids. You might have to do Side Trips depending on which challenge you do. You will have to show off three special talents of the team members. There are five challenges to choose from. They always change each year, but there is always a build and improv challenge, but the main concepts change each year. There is also a special challenge for kindergarteners through second graders they are called the Rising Stars. You compete against your same level. Third through fifth-elementary, sixth through eighth-middle, and ninth through twelfth-high school. You can either get placed on a team with the same main challenge in mind or you can get your friends to join to and be on the same team. Either way you will still have a blast doing it. |
